Prof. Andree and his team have been setting standards all over Europe in the area of autologous breast reconstruction, performing more than 250 cases per year. Only a few physicians are able to present a similarly high number of cases – and therefore such extensive experience with respect to the so-called DIEP flap procedure. Prof. Andree has been a frequent speaker at international expert conferences, and his opinion is valued by his colleagues worldwide. Once a year, Prof. Andree facilitates the renowned International Breast Symposium Duesseldorf.
Dr. Raul Banegas holds a degree in general surgery as well as a specialization in plastic and reconstructive surgery. In 1996, when the first Botolinum Toxin arrived to Argentina, Dr. Banegas was among the earliest users, and before that, in 1995, Dr. Banegas had started his work with injectables. At the present time, Dr. Banegas is the director of the prestigious Allergan Medical Institute in Argentina, and he gives courses and fellowships in his clinic in Buenos Aires.
As a long time member of both Argentinian and international plastic and aesthetic surgery societies, he has lectured around the world. In addition, he has co-authored books, clinical studies, and referendums, and has acted as the principal investigator on a retrospective and comparative study of two Botolinum Toxins.
Prof. Yoav Barnea is the Head of the Plastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery Unit at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov), and works in the breast health center as part of the multidisciplinary breast team. Prof. Barnea is a volunteer for the Israel Cancer Association, as well as a board member of the Bracha Foundation. He was the previous Secretary of the Israel Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery.
Dr. Dennis Hammond is an American physician from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and one of the world’s most recognized figures in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has authored numerous scientific papers, as well as the infamous textbook “Atlas of Aesthetic Breast Surgery.” Dr. Hammond is the associate editor for “Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery,” the main scientific journal for plastic surgeons around the world.
He has developed his own tissue expander for breast reconstruction, participated in nearly every known breast implant study since 1990, and developed a technique called the SPAIR mammaplasty, a procedure which reduces scarring in breast reduction surgery. Dr. Hammond sits on the board of numerous societies, and runs a plastic surgery clinic in Michigan: Partners in Plastic Surgery. He has educated tens of thousands of plastic surgeons over the years, from numerous countries around the globe.
Dr. Per Hedén is a world renowned thought leader in plastic & reconstructive surgery as well as microsurgery. He is continuously on the forefront of innovation, and the co-founder of one of Europe – and arguably the world’s – foremost medical aesthetic practices, Akademikliniken in Stockholm, Sweden. He was the original architect of Beauty Through Science, an annual international conference showcasing the latest trends and best practices in both surgical and non-surgical aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Hedén was one of the early users of Botulinum Toxin and Hyaluronic acid fillers, and thus is well known for his non-surgical facial rejuvenation techniques. In addition, he has developed a specific methodology for performing aesthetic breast augmentation, which has been taught and used successfully by countless physicians around the globe. He has authored renowned educational textbooks, clinical publications in esteemed journals, and has graced the stage of the most prestigious conferences.
Prof.Dr. Alexandre Mendonça Munhoz is the head of the Breast Reconstruction Department of the Cancer Institute of São Paulo, as well as the Department of Plastic Surgery of the Moriah Hospital. He was elected by ASPS as Associated Editor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open Journal. He has published numerous scientific papers and has received dozens of scientific awards related to plastic surgery research.
One of the most recognized figures in breast reconstruction surgery, Prof. Maurizio Nava is the past Head of the Plastic Surgery Unit at the Instituto Masionale dei Tumori in Milan, Italy, as well as the Contract Professor in Plastic Surgery Universita degli Studi di Genova, Italy. He heads the annual MBN Aesthetic Breast Meeting which takes place yearly in Milan.
Mr Marc Pacifico is an aesthetic consultant plastic surgeon based in the United Kingdom, and the director of the aesthetic clinic Purity Bridge, alongside his busy private surgical practice. Mr Pacifico is active both on the council and as a member of numerous plastic surgery societies, including the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS),
the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). He has published over 50 international peer-reviewed papers, and is an active educator at various conferences around the world.
Prof. Alberto Rancati MD, PhD, graduated in 1984 from medical school at University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is Board-certified in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery. He undertook his training in Plastic and Oncologic surgery in Italy and USA. He is an active member of ASPS, ISAPS, SACPER (Sociedad Argentina de Cirugia Plastica, and AAC (Asociacion Argentina de Cirugia).
Prof. Rancati is currently the Chief of Oncoplastic Surgery at the Instituto Oncologico Henry Moore, at Buenos Aires Argentina, and the Director of Plastic Surgery for Latin America at the CFS -UCSD (Center for the Future of Surgery at University of California, San Diego, USA).
